Description
The Office of Police Conduct Review (OPCR) is a neutral agency that handles claims of police misconduct made to the City of Minneapolis.
This office:
* Assures that police services are delivered in a lawful and nondiscriminatory manner
* Provides the public meaningful participatory oversight of police misconduct
* Investigates complaints of misconduct on the part of officers of the Minneapolis Police Department
Eligibility
To file a complaint, you must have personal knowledge of alleged misconduct on the part of a Minneapolis Police officer. A parent or legal guardian may file on behalf of a minor. A family member, conservator or legal guardian may file on behalf of a vulnerable adult.
Complaints must be filed with the OPCR within 270 days (9 months) of the date of the alleged police misconduct.
